This kit of screws and nuts is used to rework the bracket system back to factory condition, on Wilderness Systems Helix PD™ Pedal Drive. You may need to do this if you run aground at speed pull out or loosen your mounting brackets through impact or other causes.
Essentially you take the small silver coloured metal mounting brackets off (they screw directly into inset threads on the drive), Drill out the threads to enlarge the hole slightly and replace a nut and through bolt.
Contrary to some versions of the instructions this kit does not come with the actual latch brackets just the mounting screws and nuts.
This kit also comes with the factory original shorter screws that thread straight into the mount without the need for a nut. These are not listed on the instructions and we’re ot sure why they’re included (8 screws/bolts total) Perhaps in some cases you just need to replace the screws rather than drill though.
You’ll need a drill, 1/8th inch drill bit, Phillips head screwdriver and small spanner or pliers (to hold the nut when tightening through the nyloc section)
There’s instructions in the pictures as well as a video on how to do it. The paper instructions included say to search for it on line but here’s the link.
