Surge Rudder Rear Assembly Blade- Trailing

This Surge Rudder Rear Assembly is a flip down rudder (Spring loaded for the up position) designed for Sea, Touring and Sit On Top kayaks. This set comprises the back half of the rudder but not the cords or foot controls. These are available as a kit

The rear assembly includes
– Rudder blade

-Rudder mount  (The pin on the rudder mount is 6cm long. The pin has a hole at the bottom for a securing with a split ring for a rear mount rudder bracket (not included available separately see link). The pin also has a cut out for use in a top mount bayonet pin housing.

This rudder is used on a number of different surge kayaks but will also be suitable for other models by surge and other brands- but is not a universal fitting.

This rudder is compatible with Wilderness Systems Plastic mounting block as well as the metal version .

Surge models using this rudder include:

Viper 12, Viper 12 Pro, Bass 10XL and Fusion 10 (Current model with flip up rudder).

Note that raise lower cord, steering cords, Stainless steel hardware for the line guides requires threads inset into the hull or nuts and washers (not provided)
