Ocean Kayak Seal Trimlock 1.7 metres- For Hard Hatches

This Seal or Gasket is made of 2 parts, one is a harder pinch weld or lock tube that goes over the edge of the solid hatch cover. The other part attached to this pinch is a soft rubber tube that squashes against the kayak’s deck to provide the seal.

Note some hatches require a length on the hatch rim and on the hatch cover (2 lengths). Some just on the hatch cover (1 length) Measure the circumference of your hatch to ensure this will fit.

This Seal suits Ocean Kayak branded Sit On Tops like the Scupper, Cabo and prowler models fitted with hard plastic hatches as well as many older kayaks by other brands
Specific models include the Wilderness systems Freedom and the original Tarpon 160i (with the rear hatch instead of moulded in tankwell and yes we have the original tank well insert available still to suit this kayak should anyone want one.)

It doesn’t need any glue or special tools to attach it- May need to be trimmed to length (knife or shears). Videos are available online showing how to fit it.

This gasket is generic and can be used on the large hatches commonly found on sit-on-top kayaks however have a look at the pictures to check it is the same as what you are after.

The Tube is approx 18mm external Diameter and the pinchweld is 2cm high and has an external width of approx 7mm

Comes with a short length of tubing to close the seal.
