Shock Cord Hook 5 -6 mm Rounded Hook

This Hook is used on the end of Bungy (elastic or shock) cord. Most commonly used to attach the elastic to a deck fitting or another hook they are common on the elastic deck lines over the rear (tank) wells or storage indentations on Sit on Top kayaks but can also be present in kayak seats or rudder systems.

Moulded black nylon hook with tongue. A quick fit collar locks 2 barbs on the shank of the hook onto the shock cord, to produce a neat and secure termination at the end of your bungy. The Hook can be removed by pulling the collar off and releasing the barbs. Some strength may be required to remove the collar and with care the hook can be reused.

No tools are required to fit the hook but we do recommend sealing the end of the shock cord with heat (typically this is done using a flame from a lighter) but a commercial hot knife, soldering iron or piece of metal (hacksaw blade) heated up to a high temperature will also work.
